Love is the Movement.
All you need is Love.
Love lifts us up where we belong.
But sometimes we can't feel the love.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
To Write Love On Her Arms Day is a day where anyone can write the words love on their arms, to support those who are fighting against depression and those who are trying to recovering. On this day supporters write the word "Love" on their arms in the hopes that people will ask why, and more attention will be drawn to the cause and the treatment of depression, self-injury and suicide.
That day is today, November 13, 2009.
So why, on today of all days, did I get a text message saying "Did you hear?"
Jacob Olsen, a senior at my old high school committed suicide. He was my age. My grade.
His was the second suicide at Pioneer in 2 years. The fourth death (unless I'm somehow forgetting someone) in five years.
I don't know how to react. I left that school two years ago, but I still feel the pain.
I still feel the pain Michael Roberts left behind two years ago.
We will always remember.
How could we ever forget?
Please, please, please let those in your life know that you love them. You never know if something small could change a life drastically.
Be aware, and bring these issues into focus.

Art has a double face, of expression and illusion, just like science has a double face: the reality of error and the phantom of truth.
